Weekend in Nice Part 2

Day two in Nice was summery and more luminous than the first. We began the morning with a brisk boat tour aboard

Trans Côte d'Azur, to see the splendor of Nice from an oceanic viewpoint. Our nautical excursion set out from the Cap de Nice, sailed along the Promenade des Anglais and through the baie de Villefranche. There, we marveled at the opulence and wealth of some of the most stunning villas and private beaches on earth, owned by the likes of Bill Gates, Elton John and Bono.

Salty winds and breathtaking sights whet our appetites for the rest of our stay among the magic cerulean beaches and of course, for lunch. We hurriedly scuttled back to out Best Western to throw together some sustenance, and suit up to catch every liquid-gold ray of afternoon sun. We lazed on hotel towels thrown over the rocky beach, and cooled off in the crisp blue water.

Yes, I swam in the Mediterranean Sea. I still can't believe that this summer is happening! I'd say pinch me, but please don't. Not only has Nice shown me a paramount time in the South of France, but it's also blessed me with a stinging, tomato-red sunburn.

I don't have much else to say. Nice is nothing short of exquisite magic and the pictures speak louder than words can here.

Tonight I feel so lucky. This experience that I'm having is shaping up to be the trip of a lifetime. And it's crazy, because it's only just the beginning. I have a list of everything that I've missed in the cities that I have been to so far. I am without doubt that I will return to all of these bewitching places to do and see more. I can get used to this roaming way of life.
